As Senior Art Director at Monks, I developed social media concepts and campaigns for Smart & Final, part of Chedraui’s grocery portfolio. Working closely with social media, design, copywriting, production, and project management teammates, I helped bring ideas from concept through execution across photography, video, graphics, and animation. When the Creative Director was away, I stepped in to guide the design team and lead art direction.
I helped develop “By the Numbers,” a creative platform that made Smart & Final’s value tangible through budget-friendly grocery lists, at-home price comparisons, small business offers, and digital coupon savings. The content paired practical shopping inspiration with playful visuals, connecting everyday value to seasonal moments and familiar occasions.
My involvement also extended to hands-on content production. For select video shoots, I served as chef and food stylist, preparing and styling dishes for camera while helping shape and produce recipe-driven social content.

Direct Delivery
I developed playful delivery concepts featuring groceries falling from a phone onto a table. Visual effects and animation brought Halloween candy, holiday cookies, and watch-party essentials from screen to spread.
Out vs. In
A café coffee versus a homemade version—savings, side by side. We paired product photography with cost-per-drink calculations to show how Smart & Final makes staying in add up.
Back-to-School PB&J
We gave a lunchbox classic a playful twist to promote Smart & Final’s free PB&J giveaway. Expressive typography, AI-generated imagery, and animation made back-to-school savings stand out.
The $100 Hack
Big meal inspiration. Clear budget limits. We built recipe ideas and grocery lists for $100 and under to $49 and under, showing shoppers exactly how far their dollars could go.
In-Store Coupons
We put the Smart & Final app to work in creator-led shopping videos for watch parties and pizza nights. From selecting products to scanning coupons at checkout, the content showed how extra savings stack up.
